A Message
from the President
Families, Friends and Alumni -
It is great to be back at SHG! We are off to a fantastic start to our 2023-2024 academic year and the excitement among our students and staff is palpable.
Sacred Heart-Griffin High School represents so much to so many in our community, in our state, and in our nation. For alums of Sacred Heart Academy, Cathedral Boys High School, Griffin High School, and the over 5,000 alums of SHG, Sacred Heart-Griffin is our alma mater... one of the foundational pieces in our formation as an adult.
Today, as I reflect on the history of SHG, I am so grateful for the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, the Viatorian priests and brothers, and the lay teachers and staff whose lives and spirit have had such a positive impact on so many students and families over the years. I personally experienced the profound influence that my teachers had on me during my time at Griffin High School. Our three children credit SHG with giving them a great start in their professional endeavors and in life.
Sacred Heart-Griffin is a beacon of hope for parents and children who desire a Catholic education. SHG provides a safe, loving, faith-based, and challenging academic environment which prepares our students for wherever life takes them. We strive for excellence in all phases of our operation, including academic programs, spiritual opportunities, extracurricular activities, guidance and counseling services, educational support services, cafeteria, physical plant operations, and administrative services. We are committed to fiscal policies which keep our parents and students as a priority as we make decisions regarding tuition and tuition assistance. We are also committed to the partnership between our school and our parents as we work to ensure that every student has an opportunity to reach their personal, social, spiritual and academic goals.
I consider it a privilege to be one of the leaders of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School and look forward to walking these hallways once again. Thank you to all who support the mission and who treasure the legacy of SHG!
Go Cyclones!
